As part of its 40th Anniversary celebrations, Highland Community Residential Services (HCRS) is challenging some of Pictou County’s sports hall of famers to a fun afternoon on the ball field. HCRS staff and friends will take on the Pictou County Bulldogs, the Special Olympics team that was inducted into the Pictou County Sports Hall of Fame after wining Silver at the Nationals in 1998. Members of the community are invited and encouraged to come out and cheer on the teams. There’s sure to be laughter and surprises. The baseball game will take place at the Kinsmen Ball Field, 38 Munroe Ave, New Glasgow at 2 pm on Sunday, August 27, 2017.
